It is my belief that art holds the responsibility of increasing human comprehension in the light of social complexity. I find myself conscious of the responsibility that is mine as an artist: the capacity to direct improvement or the destruction of myself, the earth, and all its creatures and forms. Deep within the layers and complexity of my art I ask my viewers to access their inner strength and align themselves with their higher purpose. Ultimately, the focus of my body of work is to serve as a catalyst for new ways of contemplating and addressing the social challenges in the world.
I approach all of my work by focusing on a message and then experimenting with materials that will best communicate the idea. Constant throughout all of my work is a sense of complexity, layered with a variety of textures and materials relevant to each concept.
