Traditional & Digital Prints
My Senior thesis work carries with it a heavy social theme that is very important to me but I take time to create work with lighter, cheerful themes as well. I'm a huge nature fan and you'll see that aspect of my personality in my sculptures and prints.
The traditional prints I create are copper etchings or linoleum prints.
I've been an amateur photographer since I was young. My abstract prints are from a large body of work called Digital Opals. I use photographs that I've taken of textures from nature and combine them in multiple layers in Photoshop. Once the image is approved and the edition is printed I dispose of all images that were used to create the print. There are absolutely no back-ups and the print cannot be reproduced again.
