Perspectives & Paradigm
This body of work is created from the questions I ask myself every day. It represents an effort to make certain issues, which are often over-looked, momentarily visible. It has been said to me, “I don’t have the right to make this work.” And that as a white, female, American, “there are topics I am not allowed in which to engage”.
This work allows me to question whether or not I have the right to speak up for those who live a radically different life; bare a different color; or belong to a different social class. With this body of work it is not my intention to create instant solutions but to offer opportunities to reflect on and imagine ways to transform the social status quo.
